Paul Kilvington, Director of Cool Classics: As a designer, branding guy and classic car collector, MOKE ticks a lot of boxes. An electric car, based on an iconic original, that is light in weight and doesn’t need to go very far or very fast, ignited my interest.

The car made famous in the 60’s and 70’s by Bond, Bardot and The Beatles, based on the Mini and epitomising summer fun, using today’s technology and environmentally conscious. What’s not to love?

This, combined with a thriving marine business in the Balearics, soon suggested that perhaps MOKE just might the right thing at the right time and Cool Classics was born.

Following an initial conversation at Goodwood Revival, to view the car for the first time and numerous subsequent discussions with the MOKE team, a date was set to visit the factory for a test drive. It certainly didn’t disappoint. The facility was hugely impressive and the engineering and build quality of the vehicles outstanding.

The test drive left me grinning from ear to ear.

Cool Classics is now the official MOKE retail partner in Menorca, Mallorca and Ibiza, providing sales, after sales support, parts, accessories and storage. Based in the Port of Mahon in Menorca, our first MOKE’s are due imminently and we can’t wait to have them buzzing around the Islands.

I can’t think of a cooler, more environmentally aware, cost effective way to explore our beautiful landscape.
